Strange things are happening since our trip to New Orleans

I am trying to give as much detail as possible from the trip, so maybe some of you could help me realize where things may have went wrong.I love New Orleans. I try to take a trip a couple times a year, and a few days ago, me and my husband decided to get away from the kiddos for our anniversary. It’s close to Halloween, so we decided to do a little more spooky activities to get in the mood. New Orleans was less busy than usual due to covid, and that was actually relieving, since neither one of us have gotten out much since the outbreak. We went to the museum of death, some of the wonderful local artist galleries, had a fantastic lunch at a New Orleans pub, and visited all of the voodoo and witchcraft shops we could find. While walking back to our parking area, we decided to look up information on ‘The Mortuary’s Haunted House’ which is an escape room decorated for Halloween. We decided to park a few blocks away so we could walk past the cemeteries with the giant tombs and the mason cemetery. The haunted house was fun, but I am getting entirely too old for jump scares like that. When we finished the haunted attraction, I asked my husband to take a photo of me in front of the gate of the cemetery. After he took a photo, he looked freaked out a bit. Without any knowledge prior to taking the photo, I was standing in front of a tombstone that read our last name. It was a creepy coincidence I hope. After all, we have an incredibly popular last name. We went and grabbed pizza, at G’s and while waiting for our food, I tried to get some more pictures of me and husband, but all of a sudden, my phone could not take a picture without a terrible glare. It was like light shining at the bottom in every photo at every angle. I did not think much of it other than I was disappointed I would not have new pictures of us. We ate our pizza and walked back to our vehicle for the drive home. Both of us were ready for bed as soon as we arrived. That night I had a weird dream. I dreamt of the Baphomet alter in the voodoo store. I remember staring at it during our visit and trying to read the words, but in my dreams it was just there. It was the only thing I remember in a dark room. I woke up about 3am to my daughter screaming like she was in pain. I ran to her, and I was in a panic. She was fine. I brought her back to my room, and cuddled her a few minutes and put her back to bed. Her twin sister and older brother did not wake up, so crisis averted. The next day, I kept a weird feeling. I felt almost nervous the entire day, and I could not shake it. The thought of the dream, and my daughter waking had completely left my mind until my son came in my room crying. He is nine, and loves scary stuff, but he was upset. He came in saying “my PlayStation is broken”. At first I thought he may have broke it and was crying because he thought he was in trouble, but that was not it. He was scared. The disc to a film he was watching was ejecting and inserting itself at impressive rates. My husband managed to get it to stop, and my little boy was able to go to sleep without too much fuss. All was well, until I woke from another creepy dream to the sounds of my daughter crying again. I could not get up. It was like my legs could not move, but my eyes were open and I could see crystal clear in a dark room. (The television was still on, but just the Roku option screen was on)That’s when the most terrifying thing I’ve ever experienced happened. I could not move, and I wanted to so bad. I heard her crying and screaming standing at her baby gate, but I was stuck. I tried to call my husbands name and nothing came out. It was like I was alone. I couldn’t hear him breathing, and there was no movement. My door started to slowly open and then it slammed and I could move again. I was so scared when I got the ability back that I slung my arm on my husband like a hammer and jumped up and ran. I ran to my baby, but she was not at the gate screaming. She was in bed with her sister sleeping. I wondered whether I had been dreaming until I fell asleep again. I checked the clock and it was a couple of minutes past 3am. My husband never woke up, despite me smacking him pretty hard. None of my kids ever seemed to wake up that night, like the night before. Did I scare myself in New Orleans so bad, I’m imagining things? Am I going crazy? I went back through the photos on my phone, and there are some weird glares and lights in the photo if anyone wanted to take a swing at that. This is the third night, and I am a little afraid to go to sleep. If you read this, any advice or ways to make me feel better are welcome. via /r/Paranormal https://ift.tt/37Iqvom
